Research / Clinical Expertise:

Orthopaedic biomechanics: focusing on molecular basis for articular cartilage lubrication. The two main areas of research are:

  1. Mechanistic study of lubricating macromolecule composition, structure, and interactions in normal, injured, and osteoarthritic cartilage and synovial fluid.
  2. Development of new synovial fluid substitutes as therapy for the treatment of post-injury knee joints and protection against osteoarthritis development, or the maintenance of healthy joints.

  • Post-Doctoral Fellow in Biochemistry, RUSH University, (2006-2008)

  • MSc in Bioengineering, University of California – San Diego (2000 -2002)
  • BASc , Engineering Science, University of Toronto (1996-2000).
