On September 18th, supporters filled the Jack Singer Concert Hall one again for an evening of unique musical entertainment, featuring The Canadian Tenors, The Calgary Philharmonic and The Stampede Show band. The evening raised over $900,000 in support of bone and joint health care in Alberta, bringing the total amount over three years of Music in Motion to just under $3 million dollars.
Since 2010, Music in Motion has brought together three dynamic organizations that are building excellence in bone and joint health care and rehabilitation in Alberta. The McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health, the Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute and the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine are advancing the prevention and treatment of bone and joint conditions through research initiatives that span basic science at the lab bench to patient-focused clinical investigations at the bedside.
Our success is because of the incredible commitment of the McCaig Family, particularly Ann and Marilyn McCaig, the sponsorship committee, the Calgary Health Trust and many other individuals, thank you to all those involved.
