First Annual High-Res CT in International Arthritis Research

Dr. Cheryl Barnabe is leading the charge on bringing together, for the first time, key Principal Investigators from around the world who use HR-pQCT for arthritis research. Principal Investigators from Canada (British Columbia and Alberta), USA, France, Germany and Switzerland will come together and discuss their diverse methods of research using HR-pQCT. Ultimately, these key players in the world of arthritis research will develop methodology guidelines for arthritis research using HR-pQCT and discuss hopeful future collaborations.

Following the meeting, the established guidelines will be the basis for a manuscript submission to a major rheumatology journal within six months. Information will be disseminated to other research centres that have HR-pQCT capabilities

This is a unique opportunity for Canada to be recognized as leaders in arthritis diagnostic imaging techniques.
